We invite you to participate in the 8th Self Government Forum that will be held on June 4th and 5th, 2012 in Szczecin.
Self Government Forum is a common initiative of the Westpomeranian Region, the city of Szczecin, the University of Szczecin and the Foundation of Polish-German Cooperation. This undertaking that has been realized in Szczecin since 2004 creates an opportunity for direct exchange of ideas and experience on the subject of functioning, cooperation and financing self governments.
Every year, the conference convenes about 300 participants – Polish and foreign representatives of all ranks of public administration, scientific and economic environment. Last year we hosted representatives of Germany, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldavia.
Discussions during this year’s Self Government Forum shall focus on the subject: ‘The institutional and economic partnership as a chance for a sustainable development of the European regions’.
The conference will consist of a few panels in the form of moderated discussions covering the issues related to implementation of European strategy Europe 2020 in the Baltic regions, execution of the Eastern Partnership programme, meaning of foreign investments for regional development and also the problem of territorial consolidation and self-governments’ financial economy.
The discussion will be translated simultaneously into four languages: Polish, English, German, Russian.
